I have had similar issues. Also have had issue with car’s heads up display. Honestly, the car is a glitchy mess. Luckily we leased it. Can’t wait to get another car.
CarPlay issues
Anybody having issues with Apple play and other audio issues. My Apple car play keeps disconnecting. Also have issues with remote open feature. BMW just ordered me a brand new X7 I hope those issues were only in my car and a new one won’t have it.

I would suggest starting with basic troubleshooting.
